School-Based Programs

school based programs

An increasing number of children with ASD are being served in school environments more now than ever. This is due to many factors, some of which include the increased number of children being diagnosed as well as the increased efforts of public schools to provide ABA programs for these students.

ABA Psychologist & Associates offer school-based programs with 1:1 instruction. These programs are implemented concurrently with a home-based program or independently upon request from the parent and/ or school.

We observe your child at school to design ABA programs to meet their IEP goals in the school environment. ABA programs are established and implemented at school by providing 1:1 instruction. This 1:1 instruction is provided outside of the classroom, in the classroom or both, based upon each ABA program.

Conducting a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA)
Having a qualified professional conduct a Functional Behavioral Assessment helps identify the likely causes and purposes of problem behavior and lays the foundation for the development of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).

Developing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
ABA Psychologist & Associates has considerable experience designing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). These BIPs not only help to reduce inappropriate behaviors, but also teach children new functional and appropriate behaviors.

Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)
ABA Psychologist & Associates conducts Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE). These IEEs enable educators and parents to understand the appropriateness of the child’s current educational placement and services. The IEE will set the foundation for the development of an appropriate Individual Educational Plan (IEP).
